What the Cl*t?!

This project began with Aïsha’s fascination for the shape of the clitoris, which she find special and cute. Yet, who knows its shape? Almost no one, even though half of all people have this organ. It's striking that many can draw a penis but not the clitoris.

What the Cl*t?! features a visual field study of 170 drawings of the clitoris by 170 individuals, highlighting our limited knowledge of its form. These drawings were compiled into a publication, which includes an essay discussing the ignorance surrounding the clitoris within its historical and socio-cultural context.

For the What the Cl*t?! drawings, SAK invited friends and strangers to depict what they think the clitoris looks like. Participants ranged in age from 18 to 72 and included various genders from urban and rural backgrounds.
